December 10, 2018

Dear Families,

We had a great first study trip of the year! Thanks again to our chaperone drivers, Ms. Manek, Ms. Li, Mrs. Del Grande, Mrs. Vaughan, Mrs. Lee, and Mrs. Robinson. Next study trip is in March, by bus.

The holiday season is a time when many of us give to those who are in need. Please see below, for ways in which you can support Daves Avenue's efforts as a school, to support those less fortunate in our immediate and greater community.

Third Grade Service Project

Sign up, below, to help the third graders at Daves Avenue make at least 150 hygiene kits for the Downtown Streets Team. To sign up for donations, please click on this link Third Grade Service Project Sign Up

All items are due to classrooms by Dec. 14th. Kits will be assembled by students on Dec. 18.

Student Council Winter Charity Drive

Donate items to “Life moves - Breaking the Cycle of Homelessness.” Third grade classes are asked to donate paper towels and napkins.

Also, you can donate money (spare change welcome) to support teachers and students who were victims of the recent fires in Butte County. Money will be used to buy supplies and other classroom and student needs.

Second Harvest Food Bank

Fill a bag with non-perishable items and drop them off in cans at the main gate of the school. Students brought home a bag last Friday. Let’s try to fill the bins!!
